A study companion, in early design. What it does is still being decided.

Why these two

They look unrelated, and the connection is worth stating rather than assuming.

Both are products where the money normally runs against the person using them. A social platform paid by advertisers is rewarded for holding attention. A study tool built to maximise engagement is rewarded for keeping someone in the app rather than getting them through the material. In both cases the obvious business model quietly reverses who the product is for.

That is the problem Nicholic is interested in, and building two products that share it is more useful than building two unrelated things well.

What the status words mean

Five words, defined once, used everywhere on this site.

Exploring: Being thought about. No decisions have been made and nothing has been built.
Early design: The problem is defined and the shape is being worked out. Still no working software.
In development: Actively being built. Not usable by anyone outside Nicholic.
Live: Available to use now. Still being worked on, like everything else.
Paused: Work has stopped for now and may restart. Said here rather than left to rot.
Stopped: Work has ended and will not restart. The page stays up rather than disappearing.
