No waiting list, no launch notification, no newsletter — and the reasoning behind refusing all three.

A "notify me" field was planned and has been dropped.
Collecting an address means a lawful basis for holding it, a named provider to store it, an unsubscribe route, and a privacy notice several times longer than the one this site now needs. That is a lot of obligation to take on in exchange for a list that would rarely be written to.
Progress goes in this log instead, which has an RSS feed and requires nothing from anyone.
Corrected 2026-08-13: this entry originally described Nicholic as pre-launch. TruXSocial was already live when it was written. The decision against an email list stands; that description did not.
