Published the commitments while still small

Thirteen refusals and six refused promises, written down at the point where they are still cheap to keep.

The timing is the point. Promising that leaving stays easy costs almost nothing at this size. The same promise made after years of growth means giving something up, which is why so few companies make it then. Writing them now means they can be checked against what happens next.

The harder half to write was the list of promises refused — no uptime guarantee, no audit, no bug bounty, no launch date. That section is the one that makes the rest credible, because it shows the promises were costed rather than wished for.
